Youth Activist, Anthony Bissong Declares For C’River Central Senate

Youth activist and leader of one of the youths parties in Cross River State, the Young Progressive Party, YPP, Comr. Anthony Bissong has, over the weekend made known his interest to contest for a seat in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly on behalf of Central Senatorial District.

The event of his public declaration, which took place in Etomi community of Etung LGA witnessed a massive endorsement by youth organizations, pressure groups, political support groups as well as women and the aged.

Comr. Anthony Bissong, a business tycoon, CEO of Samantha Printing Company, Marian Calabar and lecturer in College of Education Akamkpa, as he then was before his resignation in late 2017 while conveying his ambition to his immediate Constituency assured them of his resolve to bring home dividends of democracy.

The Senate hopeful whom, CrossRiverDaily understands commands huge followership in the community for reasons not far from his integrity, humility and loyalty to constituted authorities was welcomed as “the hope of a better deal” according to some people, for the community which is the second largest in the Local Government Area.

Highlight of the occasion was the traditional benediction from the Clan Head of the community, Ntufam Raphael Ekuri Agbor who described the aspirant as “a young man who has, in more ways than one made the community proud” while charging him to live upto expectations should his interest played-out successfully.

In an exclusive chat with CrossRiverDaily after the occasion, Comr. Anthony stressed that of all the aspirants currently in contest for the position, he is the only one who is 100% sure of his Party, YPP’s ticket; which according to him, is his major energizer to work even extra mile to claiming the seat come 2019.
