Cross River Daily reports that Mr. Gabriel Ogbaji, well known as Gabu Bruce, a business merchant and community developmentalist from Okpoma community has harkened to the call of the Yala people and thus, accepted to vie for a seat in the Cross River State House of Assembly to represent Yala I State Constituency.
Gabu Bruce relayed this today morning during the weekend chat with Cross River Daily somewhere at Parliamentary Village, Calabar.
Mr. Gabriel Ogbaji, born into the family of Late Chief Ogbaji Onah in Yala and resides in Port Harcourt, Rivers State with wife, Mrs. Mary Gabriel and kids said his desire to contest was born out of his passion to serve his people, stating that, should he is elected, he shall stress every of his nerve to ensuring that Yala I State Constituency gets quality legislative representation.
On the political party, Mr. Gabu Bruce intimated Cross River Daily that he shall be contesting under the platform of the Young Democratic Party, YDP; howthat, he was with the party EXCO yesterday where certain foundations for his way about the struggle were laid.
So far, Mr. Gabu said the meeting with his party officials yesterday was all he has done for now, stating that consultations are set to begin in ernest; while promising to make public his blueprints in the nearest time.
