UNICAL: Gov Ayade Nominated For Students Ambassadorial Honor

Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Benedict Ayade has been nominated for an ambassadorial award by the University of Calabar Students’ Union Government (UNICAL-SUG) under the leadership of Comr. Raymond Derek as president.

The said award is proposed to take place next week, upon the arrival of His Excellency.

According to the organising chairman of the event, Comr. Save-Us Okoi, the state governor has been representing the overall interest/welfare of Nigerian students both those studying in the state and beyond by his consistent payment of salaries to parents.

Aside payment of salaries to their guardians, Comr Save-Us highlighted the industrialization drive of His Excellency, ranging from the Rice Mill, Garment Factory, Calachika Chicken Processing Factory, Calavita Instant Noodles Factory as-well-as the numerous investors the governor has brought to the state as part of the reasons Gov. Ayade was qualified for the adoration, noting that the forthcoming honor was the union’s own gesture to commend his strides so far as governor of Cross River State.

Judging His Excellency’s performance in his first tenure, which according to the union, engineered the governor’s reelection and winning him the uncommon title as “Giant Alakuku” of our time, the students’ body said they will also be honoring the governor, with not just the “Ambassador of Students” award but also as the “Commander of the Order of Malabor”.

Save-Us also noted that the ceremony, which is billed to hold in Governor’s Office will have His Excellency dressed in full regalia of the institution.
