Rising Heroes Platform Consults Mkpani Monarchs On Farmer Education

Cross River Daily can report that Rising Heroes Platform, a community development group in Mkpani, Yakurr Local Government Area has consulted traditional leaders in Mkpani to intimate them on their existence and coming community intervention programmes.

The group, which seeks to have a better society in the future received an overwhelming endorsement from the monarchs after they had stated the goals they seek to achieve.

Some of the monarchs visited include: Obol Lopon of Mkpani, HRH. Obol Sunday Obono Okoi; Clan Head of Aduma, HRH Obol Oden Dan Ubi; and Clan Head of Ajere, Chief Bassey Ebri.

Cross River Daily also reports that the group’s delegation, led by Comr. Tony Eteng Ofem who is the Director, Traditional and Community Affairs and other members that included Comr. Dr. Effiom Uket Effiom, Comr. Akpama, Emmanuel and Comr. Womi Edward was assured the traditional leaders’ support after making an informed presentation of their objectives.

About what the group really is, the delegation said:

“The Rising Heroes Platform is a gathering of worthy, law abiding and peace loving sons and daughters of Mkpani, cut across the various Clans of the community. The coming together of this group of persons is born out of a great desire to achieve a defined purpose.

“The group major goal is to affect the younger generation of Mkpani in many positive ways.

“The platform, among the above mentioned goals, will also play a part in educating the farmers of the community on how to practice a profitable farming lifestyle and as well as provision of aides to farmers,” they said.
