Owan Enoh’s Bill For The Establishment Of Federal Polytechnic Ikom Passes Second Reading

Senator John Owan Enoh’s bill seeking the establishment of a Federal Polytechnic in Ikom local government area of Cross River State has, at the last plenary of the National Assembly successfully gone through a second reading.

The bill which was read on Wednesday, May 30th, if successfully passed into law would see Ikom own a federal institution that provides fulltime courses in technology, applied science management and other related fields of study.

First presented on Thursday, April 26th, 2018 and accordingly read for the first time, the bill with cap: Federal Polytechnic Ikom, Cross River State (Est, etc) Bill, 2018 (SB. 672) also makes provision for the general administration of the institution and other matters connected therewith.

In a similar development, CrossRiverDaily has before now reported that Hon. Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, member representing Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives who also sponsored a bill for the establishment of a higher institution in Ogoja is currently making progress as his bill recently scaled-through the second reading phase of process.
