Obudu Bye-Election Update: PDP Fields Late Hon’s Wife As Candidate, APC Fields Adah Ishamali

Ahead of the August 11 bye-election for Obudu State Constituency, the two major contending political parties in the state, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP and the All Progressive Congress, APC have submitted names of their respective candidates for the contest.

Mrs. Abbey Ukpukpen, the wife of the late lawmaker, Honorable Stephen Ukpukpen whose death necessitated the election is PDP’s candidate while Mr. Adah Ishamali is APC’s candidate.

Whereas the former beauty queen, Abbey went unopposed at the primaries, Mr. Ishamali emerged a consensus candidate after his opponent, Moses Utsu, the Obudu APC chapter chairman stepped down.
