Ndoma-Egba Disowns Anti-Agi Comment, Sympathizes With Agi

By Endurance Onun:

Ex-Central District Senator, Barr. Victor Ndoma-Egba has disowned the contemptuous comment against Bar. Joe Agi SAN credited to him by Daily Post reporter, Mr. Edem Edem.

According to Daily Post, Ndoma Egba, in a phone chat was quoted to have said; “…Google his own [Joe Agi] name, every judge that has been sanctioned in Nigeria, Joe’s name is mentioned”.

This comment, CrossRiverDaily understands came on the heels of Barr. Agi’s misconstrued opinion of the Air Commodore Ibrahim Kefas’s Military Administration in Cross River State between December 1993 through September 1994.

Reacting to Daily Post’s publication, Ndoma-Egba said: “My attention has been drawn to an online publication in the Daily Post of July 17, 2020 with the caption “Trouble in Cross River as Joe Agi calls Ndoma-Egba, late Mathew Mbu, Paul Erokoro thieves”.

“I wish to categorically state that I did not grant any press interview with the author of the story and those statements credited to me are malicious and deliberate attempt to ridicule and embarrass my person and my friend Joe Agi.

“It is on record that Joe Agi and I have discussed the said video that led to the report and he (Joe) had retracted it. Hence I could not have gone ahead to grant a press interview on the matter. I regret any embarrassment this publication may have caused him.

“Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba (SAN)”.

This lays to rest the allegations that Barr. Joe Agi SAN is always fingered in every sanctioned judge’s thwack.
