Navy Apprehend 500 Illegally Refined Diesel Drums In Calabar

The Nigerian Navy Ship Victory in Calabar, Cross River State, on Monday said it arrested nine suspects for being in possession of 500 drums of illegally refined diesel.

CrossRiverDaily understands that the suspects were conveying the diesel on a large wooden boat from Bonny in Rivers State to Calabar when they were apprehended on April 22 along the Calabar channel.

The Commander of NNS Victory, Commodore Julius Nwagu, stated this while handing over the items and the suspects to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps at the Naval Jetty in Calabar.
