Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. John Gaul Lebo has reiterated his commitment to add value to his immediate state constituency, Abi and the federal constituency he seeks to represent, Abi/Yakurr.
On his visit to Abi, over the weekend, John Gaul said as an Itigidi son, he owed Itigidi and the entire Abi a responsibility of adding value to the constituency, which according to him, was the ideology that brought him into leadership.
“I am an Itigidi son by every standard, and I am indebted to Itigidi community, I am always treated as one of your own, I enjoy love, care and support from Itigidi as a son.
“I am conscious of the fact that my politics must add some value to the Constituency because that is the political ideology that brought us into leadership responsibility.
“I owe Abi Constituency that value before the end of my tenure as Speaker”.
The Speaker who visited gully erosion sites to inspect collapsed culvert in Imabana community, promised immediate government intervention and salute the leaders and youths of Imabana for the prompt community effort to create a temporary access.
He also promised to ensure that all uncompleted projects in Abi were completed under the remaining period of his tenure as member representing Abi in the State House of Assembly.
The visit of the speaker to Itigidi was a brief stop over after his consultation at Ekori Beach in Epenti council ward, Ekori in Yakurr Local Government Area where he solicited support as he aspires to represent them in the Federal House of Representatives.
