Primary and secondary school teachers in the state have suspended the strike action they embarked on last month, 28th to press home their demands for a good working environment which they said the state governor, Ben Ayade was “insensitive” about.
The notice for the suspension was contained in a circular by their union, Nigerian Union of Teachers capped; Bulletin 9.
“The Nigeria Union of Teachers, Cross River state Wing hereby suspend the strike action and direct all teachers to resume duties with immediate effect. Consequently, all suspended exams should be completed within two weeks,” the Bulletin 9 said.
Accordingly, the Bulletin 9 also ordered the suspended exams that were already ongoing in some schools before the strike to resume and be completed within two weeks.
