Comrade Etim John, the secretary of the event’s organising committee emphasized the need to pay attention to efforts of the media, especially the new media in state development. Etim, who wondered why the media is often under praised despite its noticeable contributions to the development of any setting, opined that if the media is given its place in the daily runnings of the state and its due credit, things would work far better than they are working now.
