Leader of the 9th Cross River State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Peter Odinga Odey has dignified the State Governor, Sen. Benedict Ayade and the State Commissioner for Humanity and Social Welfare, Mrs. Blessing Egbara for the sympathy shown to his constituents occasioned by the distribution of covid-19 palliatives to the poor and aged people of Ogoja L.G.A.
Hon. Odey who took to Facebook to register his satisfaction with the exercise carried out over the weekend said the initiative and the manner withwhich it was implemented was a “demonstration of the fact that we are getting it right in our governance system”.
“I thank the Governor of Cross River State, Sir Ben Ayade and the Commissioner for Humanity and Social Welfare for distributing palliatives in Ogoja Local Government Area.
“I commend all the Councillors for their proactive and dogged nature in ensuring that the palliatives got to those who need it the most. This is a demonstration of the fact that we are getting it right in our governance system.
“The show of love and kindness is heart warming,” Hon. Odey wrote.
