Central Senate aspirant, Dodeye Arikpo has sent felicitations to the people of Boki on the occasion of their 2018 new yam festival.
According to a message from the People’s Democratic Party aspirant and made available to Cross River Daily, Dodeye Arikpo reiterated his strong connection with the Boki Nation, which he said was courtesy of “the excellent services several sons and daughters of Boki have rendered not just to the Central Senatorial District but also Cross River State and Nigeria in general”, while noting that these said services have been very well documented.
Appealing to the people to hold strong their culture and heritage, Dodeye Arikpo said:
“As people who boast of a proud ancestry and history, I wish to use this opportunity to appeal for a sustenance of that spirit of service, unity of purpose and growth.
“Let us join hands as we celebrate to make Boki great and eschew acts that divide and enslave us.
“I am particularly excited at the peace that has returned to Boki and my team and I look forward to visiting again and again, especially with the warm reception I have received everytime I have visited. May God continually give us reasons to celebrate and not mourn.”
