Abi2019: Hon. Iwara Inah Officially Declares For Abi State House Constituency

Former Usumutong lawmaker and Personal Assistant to erstwhile Governor Liyel Imoke, Hon. Iwara Inah has officially declared to contest for House of Assembly under the canopy of the All Progressives Congress, APC to represent Abi State Constituency.

The declaration exercise which took place over the weekend in Itigidi, Abi Local Government Area had in attendance major stakeholders of the APC in Abi, the chapter leadership as well as ordinary members of the party.

Making public his intentions to run, Hon. Iwara stated that his ambition to represent the people of Abi in the Cross River State House of Assembly was informed by his resolve to improve the living conditions of Abi people and to further create a workable relationship between the people and their representatives.

Hon. Iwara vowed to embark on an issue-based consultation/campaign in the coming days not people-based. Stating that, with this approach, he is certain, the party can trust him with the ticket to stand for them in the general elections.

On his performance in the State House of Assembly, Iwara said: “You all will be the ones to score me not a selected few.

“Through townhall meetings, there will be interfacing between us and whatever we resolve from those said meetings would only be things that will stand”.

“All my opponents jostling for our party’s ticket are qualified, but I am more qualified because I have a reach out than all of them; the resources; strategy to win in the general election; and all that is required to deliver Abi State Constituency to APC,” Iwara assured.

The party chapter in Abi informed that they are waxing stronger and that they will ensure Iwara’s ambition becomes successful.

Advising Iwara, the party leadership said that poverty is in first class in Abi. Howthat, Iwara, if elected a lawmaker come 2019, should make laws that will accommodate widows, widowers, and all classes of citizens in Abi and Cross River State.
