Cross River Daily News reports that Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate and former governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke has fresh troubles on his table as INEC, yesterday, claimed his NYSC certificate was missing from the folder containing his credentials, which he submitted for screening.
Since the details of his credentials as-well-as the missing NYSC certificate emerged yesterday, Donald Duke has maintained absolute quietness.
The candidate was silent on his participation in the NYSC scheme. Duke, in his nomination form, admitted that he “attended the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he obtained a law degree in 1982 and the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Bar in 1983.
“He attended the University of Pennsylvania in the United States from 1983 to 1984 where he obtained a Master of Laws (LLM).”
Up until the time of writing this report, it was not clear to Cross River Daily News if the fault was from INEC or the candidate did not participate in the scheme.
In the same line, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, the presidential candidate of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) also has a similar issue with Donald Duke as his NYSC discharge certificate was not found in his folder.
